Delete your account or data

This page explains how to delete your MyLift AI account, how to delete only part of your data while keeping your account, and exactly what happens to it in each case. MyLift AI is operated by Aron Ruizendaal, Netherlands.

Cancel your subscription firstSubscriptions are billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and only they can stop the billing — we cannot cancel on your behalf. So if your PRO subscription is still set to renew, the app will not let you delete your account yet. That is deliberate: it stops you being charged for an account that no longer exists. Cancel in the store first, then delete. If you have already cancelled and your subscription is simply running out its remaining time, you can delete straight away.

Option 1 — delete it yourself in the app

This is immediate and needs no request. It is the fastest route.

Cancel your subscriptionOn Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MyLift AI → Cancel. On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MyLift AI → Cancel. Skip this if you are on the free tier.

Open the Profile tabLaunch MyLift AI and sign in, then open the Profile tab.

Tap Delete AccountScroll to the bottom and tap “Delete Account”, then confirm. Your account and data are deleted straight away and this cannot be undone.

Option 2 — ask us to delete it

If you cannot access the app or would rather we handle it, email support@myliftai.app with the subject “Delete my account”, sent from the email address registered to your account so we can verify it is you.

We will confirm once it is done. Requests are processed within 30 days and normally much sooner. Remember to cancel your subscription separately, as above — we cannot cancel it for you.

Delete only some of your data, and keep your account

You do not have to close your account to remove data from it. Most of your content can be deleted individually inside the app, and it is removed from our servers straight away:

✕AI coach conversations — delete any conversation from the chat list

✕Workout templates — open a template and choose delete

✕Workout routines — open a routine and choose delete

✕Body metrics, goals, and preferences — change or clear them in the Profile tab

Other data — including your logged workout history and any custom exercises you created — cannot yet be deleted item by item in the app. To have any of it removed, or to erase a whole category at once, email support@myliftai.app from your registered address with the subject “Data deletion request”, telling us what you want removed. This is your right to erasure under GDPR Article 17. We action these within 30 days and confirm when it is done. Your account stays open and everything you did not ask us to remove is untouched.

What is deleted when you delete your account

Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery period and no way for us to restore an account once it is gone.

✕Your account: name, email address, date of birth, and password

✕All workout history — sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weights, and RPE ratings

✕Workout templates and routines you created

✕Custom exercises you added (shared exercises in the public library are unaffected)

✕Conversations with the AI coach, including generated plans and analyses

✕Body metrics such as weight and height, fitness goals, and app preferences

✕Subscription records held in our database

What is retained, and for how long

•Usage analytics events, permanently detached from your account. These keep a record that an action happened, with no way to trace it back to you.

•Crash and diagnostic reports collected by our error monitoring provider, which expire on that provider's own retention schedule.

•Encrypted database backups, until they are rotated out in the normal backup cycle.

•Records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction records for tax purposes, where applicable law demands it.

None of the retained data identifies you. It cannot be used to rebuild your account or link activity back to you.
